Terms of service.

Last updated: October 2025

These Terms & Conditions set out how I, Web Studio Nest, provide design and website services. By booking a service or project with me, you agree to the following terms.

1. About Web Studio Nest

Web Studio Nest is a small creative studio based in the UK, offering website design, one-page event sites, and related digital services.

I (the designer) aim to offer a calm, supportive experience for small businesses, especially mums and start-ups, looking to build an affordable online presence.

2. Services

Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Website design and setup using platforms such as Wix, Squarespace, and Create

  • One-page event websites (e.g., weddings, birthdays, celebrations)

  • Ongoing website support and maintenance (if agreed)

  • Branding or content assistance as described in your package

All work will be detailed in a written proposal or email agreement before starting.

3. Pricing & Payment

  • Prices are listed in GBP (£) and are designed for small businesses and mums starting out.

  • A minimum 40% deposit is required to book your project. This secures your spot and covers initial design work.

  • The remaining balance is due upon completion, before your website is made live or handed over.

  • Payments can be made via bank transfer, PayPal, or another agreed method.

All payments are non-refundable once design work has started.

4. Project Timeline

Typical timelines will be agreed in writing. Most projects take 1–3 weeks depending on complexity and client response time.
Delays in providing content, feedback, or approvals may extend the completion date.

5. Content & Materials

You are responsible for providing all text, images, and branding materials unless otherwise agreed.
You confirm that you own or have permission to use all materials you provide.

If you ask me to source images or content, I will use royalty-free or licensed materials where possible.

6. Revisions

Each package includes a set number of design revisions, clearly stated in your proposal (for example, 2–3 rounds).
Additional changes after that will be charged at the agreed hourly rate (usually £50/hour).

7. Website Platforms & Accounts

Websites are built using third-party platforms (such as Wix, Squarespace, or Create).
You will need to maintain your own subscription and account with the chosen platform.
I will assist you in setting this up and transferring ownership once the site is complete and fully paid for.

8. Hosting & Domains

If your project includes hosting or a domain name (for example, one-page event sites), it will remain active for the stated period (e.g. 3, 6, or 12 months).
You may extend hosting at an additional cost.
After expiry, websites may be archived or removed unless renewed.

9. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Deposits are non-refundable once design work has started.

  • If you cancel the project partway through, you will be invoiced for work completed to date.

  • If I am unable to complete your project due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full or partial refund, depending on progress made.

10. Website Launch & Handover

When your website is complete and fully paid for:

  • Ownership of the site content and layout transfers to you.

  • I will provide login access and a short guide on how to make updates.

  • I may keep a copy for portfolio purposes unless you request otherwise.

11. Aftercare & Support

Basic post-launch support (for minor questions or fixes) is included for 14 days after delivery.
Ongoing maintenance or edits after that can be booked as a support package or hourly work.

12. Credit & Promotion

A small credit link (“Website by Web Studio Nest”) may appear in your site footer.
You may request this to be removed, but I may still display screenshots or a mention of your project in my portfolio or social media unless you object.

13. Liability

While I take great care in every project, I cannot be held responsible for:

  • Loss of income, sales, or data arising from website downtime or issues outside my control.

  • Errors resulting from changes made after handover.

  • Third-party software, plugins, or platform outages.

You are responsible for maintaining your platform subscription and backups (where applicable).

14. Privacy

Your personal data is handled securely and in accordance with my Privacy Policy (see separate page).

15. Changes to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated occasionally. The most recent version will always be published on my website.
