10% Start Policy — Terms & Conditions

At Web Studio Nest, I want new clients — especially mums and small business owners — to feel confident about starting their website project.
To make it easy and low-risk, I offer a 10% Start Policy, allowing you to see your first design before committing to full payment.

1. Overview

The 10% Start Policy allows eligible clients to begin their website design project with a 10% upfront payment instead of the usual 50% deposit.
This option is designed to build trust and provide flexibility for new small businesses and start-ups.

2. How It Works

  1. You pay 10% of the agreed total project cost to begin.

  2. I design and share the first version (demo) of your website for your review.

  3. If you’re happy to proceed, you pay the remaining 90% balance before I transfer ownership and complete final setup (contact forms, social links, payments, etc.).

  4. If you decide not to continue after reviewing the demo, the project simply ends — no further payment required.

3. Conditions

  • The 10% deposit covers time spent on creative concept, setup, and design preparation, and is non-refundable once the demo version has been shared.

  • The demo includes one homepage or layout preview. Any further redesigns or revisions before full payment will be charged separately at the standard hourly rate (£50/hour).

  • The policy is available for standard website packages and new clients only.

  • For smaller or time-sensitive projects (such as one-page event websites), full payment upfront may still be required before work begins.

  • Ownership of the website, files, and design remains with Web Studio Nest until full payment is received.

4. Timeline

  • Demo designs are usually delivered within 3–7 days after receiving content and deposit.

  • Once the remaining payment is made, final transfer and setup will be completed within 2–3 working days.

5. Communication

All communication will be via email or agreed messaging channels.
Feedback should be provided within 3 working days of receiving the demo to keep timelines on track.

6. Other Terms

This policy operates alongside the main Terms of Service.
All other clauses (intellectual property, liability, privacy, etc.) remain in effect.
